About the music
Tu BiShvat's anthem is HaShkediya Porachat ("the almond tree is blooming"), the song every Israeli child learns, alongside Ki HaAdam Etz HaSadeh and a whole tradition of songs about planting, the land and its fruit. It is the most nature-loving day in the Jewish calendar, and its playlist leans Israeli: kibbutz-era folk songs, Naomi Shemer, and the modern singer-songwriters who followed.
