Shavuot marks the giving of the Torah at Sinai, and its songs say so: Na'aseh V'nishma ("we will do and we will hear"), Torah Tziva Lanu Moshe, Ki Lekach Tov and the Aramaic Akdamut chanted before the Torah reading. The Book of Ruth, read on Shavuot, has its own melodies, and the harvest side of the holiday brings the kibbutz bikkurim songs — Saleinu Al K'tefeinu above all.
