Purim music begins the moment the month of Adar does: Mishenichnas Adar Marbim B'simcha ("when Adar enters, joy increases"). After the Megillah reading comes Shoshanat Yaakov and LaYehudim Haytah Orah, and then the parties — where anything goes, from Chassidic dance sets to Chag Purim, Utzu Eitzah, Ani Purim and the parody songs that Jewish musicians release every year.
