About the music
No Jewish meal has more singing than the seder. The four questions of Ma Nishtana open it; Avadim Hayinu, V'hi She'amda and Dayenu tell the story; Eliyahu HaNavi greets the prophet at the door; and the night ends with the counting and cumulative songs — Adir Hu, Echad Mi Yodea and Chad Gadya — in melodies that differ from Vilna to Baghdad to Brooklyn.
